Therapeutic effects of wool

In choosing materials for making products for horses, we used our many years of experience. That is why real, clean wool could not be left out. Thanks to this, our horse wear and protectors have gained additional, beneficial properties.

Why wool? The answer is simple: wool, because:

  • it makes maintaining a constant (optimal) temperature of the body easier,
  • it enables the organism to breathe through the skin,
  • it brings quick effects of drying the skin of the horse after exercise,
  • it massages the horse in a natural way.

Sheep wool also possesses properties used in rehabilitation and prevention.

Wool enables the organism to breathe through the skin. Thanks to the flexibility of the fibres, our products do not adhere to the horse with all of its surface.
Woollen fibres have the ability to contract and loosen under the influence of temperature change. This causes air circulation, and with this, appropriate thermal conditions. This natural thermoregulator means that horses covered by our horse cloths will not sweat and overheat.
Among natural fibres, sheep wool is most hygroscopic. It has the ability of absorbing water vapour in the amount equalling to 1/3 of its mass, not giving the impression of dampness to the touch. Using our products after training, you can gain the effect of dryness quickly, because they can absorb large amounts of sweat, and get rid of it during airing.
The micromassage with wool fibres provides the cells with adequate blood supply, therefore, improving blood circulation.
Sheep wool possesses properties used in rehabilitation and prevention.

Professional literature gives many documented examples of the beneficial influence that sheep wool has on illnesses such as:

  • states after injuries and fractures,
  • rheumatoid disease,
  • inflammations of tendons, muscles and ligaments,
  • limbs and spine degenerations,
  • spines pain, circulation disorders.
