Woollen animal beds
Wool is a natural thermostat, which ensures air circulation adapted to the temperature of the environment, as a result of contracting and loosening of hairs in the sheep fleece.
That’s why your pet will feel warm in winter and a comfortable coolness in summer. It is an important advantage, but not the only one.
Wool:
- absorbs humidity and quickly gets rid of it
- contains lanolin, which hinders the development of bacteria and especially mites, which can cause allergies
- does not retain unpleasant smells
- is durable and resistant to wear
Conservation
After unzipping the upper part must be removed. The mattress inside does not need any special cleaning – airing and beating should be enough. Is necessary, it can be washed with a solution of animal shampoo, which does not cause any negative reactions. Woollen cover should be hand-washed with animal shampoo foam or a gentle wool wash with lanolin. It should be dried naturally – electrical driers are not recommended. We advise you against chemical wash, as the agents used leach the lanolin out of wool and can cause allergic reactions.
