The products made of wool knit are licensed by Woolmark (license No 0079PL97W)
The Woolmark license means that Torpol products are made of 100% wool and they fulfill the quality standards of The Woolmark Company.
Our wool products combine high practical value and healthful influence on the organism. It can be confirmed by the opinions of:
- Warsaw Drug Institute
- Warsaw Centre of Medical Technique
- Chair and Clinic of Rehabilitation at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań
- State Clinical Hospital No 4 at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań
- Gdańsk Rehabilitation Centre in Dzierżążno
These opinions, issued on the basis of practical investigation results, show unambiguously the usefulness of our products in medical rehabilitation.
Our wool knit products (woollen quilts, pillows, warmers and mattresses) have entered in Medical Products Register (PL/DR 010802). They fulfill the European Union requirements for medical products 92/94/EEC and are licensed CE.We have an Inner Quality Management System, which includes design and production control. This system proves formally that our products are of high quality and security.
In order to maintain the quality of our products, we have regular physical and chemical examinations done in:
- Laboratory of Products, Processes and Environment Research at the Institute of Dyes and Organic Products
- Institute of Knitting Techniques and Technologies in Łódź
The examinations concern the content of heavy metals, aromatic amines and formaldehyde, the pH value, fabric’s resistance to dyeing by saliva, alkali and acid sweat, distilled water and washing in 40°C.
